1. Booking & Payment

1.1 A booking is secured once:

• A completed booking form has been submitted; and

• The required deposit has been paid (20%).

1.2 The booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

1.3 The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the ceremony date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1.4 Payments are non-transferable to other couples or events.

2. Cancellations, Postponements & Refunds

Life doesn’t always go to plan — and weddings are no exception. If something unexpected comes up, here’s how we’ll handle it together.

2.1 Cancellation by You (the Client)

• A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking and is non-refundable under all circumstances.

If you cancel your booking:

• More than 60 days before the ceremony:
  Any balance paid (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.

• Less than 60 days before the ceremony:
  50% of the total fee will be retained.

• Less than 14 days before the ceremony or in the case of a no-show:
  No refund will be issued.

2.2 Postponement by You (the Client)

If you need to postpone your ceremony:

• More than 60 days before the ceremony:
  Your deposit will be transferred to a new date, subject to availability.

• Less than 60 days before the ceremony:
  A rescheduling fee equivalent to the 20% deposit will apply.

2.3 Cancellation by INK Ceremonies

In the unlikely event that INK Ceremonies must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness or emergency):

• A full refund of all monies paid will be issued; and

• Where possible, a suitable replacement celebrant will be offered via a trusted professional network.

3. Changes & Rescheduling

3.1 Requests to change the ceremony date are subject to availability.

3.2 If INK Ceremonies is unavailable on the new date:

• The booking will be treated as a cancellation (see Section 2).

3.3 Minor changes to ceremony details (time, location, run sheet) are welcomed and can be accommodated where reasonable.

4. Legal Requirements

4.1 As an authorised Marriage Celebrant, INK Ceremonies will:

• Prepare and lodge all required legal documentation in accordance with Australian law.

4.2 The couple agrees to:

• Provide accurate legal information;

• Submit required documents within requested timeframes; and

• Attend any required meetings or declarations.

4.3 It is the couple’s responsibility to ensure:

• The Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) is completed within the required timeframe (minimum one month prior to the ceremony);

• Valid identification is provided.

5. Ceremony Content & Vows

5.1 INK Ceremonies provides guidance, support, and structure for vows and ceremony content.

5.2 Final responsibility for vow content rests with the couple.

5.3 INK Ceremonies reserves the right to decline content that is offensive, inappropriate, or not aligned with legal requirements.

6. Travel & Location

6.1 Travel within an agreed service area is included.

6.2 Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside this area and will be discussed in advance.

6.3 The couple is responsible for ensuring:

• Safe and accessible ceremony conditions;

• Adequate setup time and space for delivery of the ceremony.

7. Rehearsals

7.1 We will decide together if a rehearsals is required (not included in Town Hall style ceremonies)

7.2 If together we decided a rehearsal is required, but that rehearsal cannot take place locally (within 30km) and must occur at your ceremony venue that is further than 30km away — this may be arranged for an additional travel fee.

8. Liability

8.1 INK Ceremonies will take all reasonable care in delivering services but is not liable for:

• Circumstances beyond control (weather, venue issues, supplier delays);

• Delays caused by the couple or guests.

8.2 The couple agrees to indemnify INK Ceremonies against any claims arising from:

• Incorrect information provided;

• Failure to meet legal requirements.

9. Photography & Promotion

9.1 INK Ceremonies may use photographs or videos from the ceremony for promotional purposes (website, social media), unless the couple requests otherwise in writing.

10. Communication

10.1 INK Ceremonies will respond to all communication within a reasonable timeframe.

10.2 The couple agrees to maintain open and timely communication throughout the planning process.

11. Agreement

By proceeding with a booking, the couple confirms that they:

• Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions;

• Agree to the terms outlined above.
